Monument Valley. The calmest place I’ve ever been to. If you don’t find peace there you’re either on speed or just plain insane. No word can describe it, no picture can really show you how it looks. The perfect (or in-perfect) red mountain, the wide plains and the silence.

If you add the scenic drive through the Navado reserve we experienced one of the best days yet. No stress, no hitting the road before we’ve seen it all…

We estimate that we now have driven over 3000 miles (about 5000 km for you who use the metric system… Just about the only thing I miss) and we’ve driven perhaps 2/3 of the planned route. GBG-Borås don’t seem that much of an inconvenience anymore…

And just when I thought the next trip between Monument Valley and Flagstaff was gonna be a boring four-hour drive the sun started to set and all the mountains lit up. (And we had Eagles of Death Metal playing on the radio!) The colours (yes, we are in America but their spelling of that particular word is retarded…) were amazing!

Flagstaff was pretty fun as well, met a couple of guys in like 3 in the morning and ended up drinking beers at the rooftop of some building.

Watch the pictures below!

(Mamma, jag lever och frodas. Du och mormor kommer bli glada över att se hur mycket mer av mig som kommer tillbaka…)

And by the way, I haven’t groomed my beard in over two weeks and my Denim Denom looks shadier then ever. They’re wrecked but if I got any luck the SF-based, flagship Levi’s store will fix ‘em for me!
